1.01 Annual Tournaments for College, Senior, Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman Divisions. The National Amateur Baseball Federation shall conduct annual tournaments for those affiliated associations having:
1.02 Annual Tournaments for Rookie Division. The National Amateur Baseball Federation shall conduct annual tournaments for those affiliated associations having four (4) or more teams in this division in order to qualify for a bid to the regional and/or World Series.
1.03 Annual Tournaments for College Division. The National Amateur Baseball Federation shall conduct annual tournaments for those affiliated
1. at least one team playing a complete regular season schedule in a Major Division League and
2. four (4) or more teams in this division, hereinafter provided for, and which conduct a regular series of games to determine their local championships and in which four (4) or more teams finish the season.
1.04 Annual Tournaments for High School Division.The National Amateur Baseball Federation shall conduct annual tournaments for those affiliated associations having:
1.05 NABF Special Events Program(s). The National Amateur Baseball Federation, with approval from the Board of Directors, shall conduct National and International Invitational Tournaments for affiliated associations in good standing. Such special event tournament(s) shall not be in conflict with the approved dates of the NABF annual National Regional or National Championship series of games for those age groups described under NABF Rules 1.01 thru 1.04.
1.06A NABF Classics World Series - Special Events.The official playing rules of the National Amateur Baseball Federation (official baseball rules) shall be the general playing rules for the NABF Classics, except when they may conflict with
special NABF Classics Rules, as may be utilized for various age groups (i.e., player substitution rules, number of innings played, time limits, etc.). Such rules must be approved by the NABF Special Events Committee and made known to managers/coaches of team participants.
1.06B NABF Classic Champions. NABF Classic winners will get a direct bid to the NABF World Series in the assigned age group. The winning team or NABF Classic host must pay the four hundred fifty dollar ($450.00) World Series fee. This will be addressed and explained in the NABF Classic agreements prepared by the NABF Executive Director (National Office). (Note: Rule 1.06B will be a pilot program for year 2016 and 2017 in the 17U Division only, and NABF sanction teams get priority over Classic winners.)
